Merrill C18 - Black Walnut and Cedar

$ Sold

The Merrill C18 is a dreadnought of Dreams. This is only the second C-18 that Jim has built in this tone wood combination and we were fortunate enough to get it. The top is Port Oxford Cedar which is harder than Adirondack. The back, sides, neck, and headstock are American Black Walnut. The neck is hand carved of course (it is a Merrill) and the nut width is 1.75" with a string spacing at the saddle of 2 & 5/16".

The guitar is featherlight and as resonant as you will find. This is one musical dread that stuns me to look at much less play. The guitar is very balanced in fine dread fashion and knows no ceiling in the arena of headroom topic. The body is bound in tortoise and makes the entire package a thing of beauty to behold. This guitar will cover it all from soft finger style to the hardest flat picking attach.

Needless to say, Jim is at the top of his game and I find myself in envy of the new owner of this incredible guitar. This one ships in an Ameritage case. We are so proud to be an authorized Merrill dealer and the guitars explain why. More coming soon.
